LBFE is looking for a strong communicator who is detail -oriented to coordinate and match volunteers with older adults experiencing loneliness and social isolation.

This position requires a patient, empathic, and compassionate individual with excellent active listening and critical thinking skills.

 

The coordinator plays a key role in creating thoughtful, compatible matches that foster meaningful, lasting friendships between volunteers and our Forever Friends.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults and understands the emotional and social dynamics of aging and loneliness or is eager to learn and grow in this area.

Intermediate computer skills are required.

Part-Time 25 Hours with up to 30 hours during seasonal months

LBFE is looking for a detail -oriented person with a dynamic personality to coordinate older adult attendance for our Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter dinner parties, a variety of engaging special occasions throughout the year and the Food Pantry.

This position requires social interaction, public speaking, attention to detail, organizational skills, intermediate computer skills, and working closely with volunteers.

You must enjoy working and interacting with older adults as well as understand the dynamics of aging and loneliness or be willing to learn.

Firewood
Program Coordinator

LBFE is looking for someone with general knowledge of firewood for home heating to coordinate our supplemental firewood program for older adults.

This position organizes teams of volunteers to cut, split, stack, and deliver firewood. 

This position requires heavy lifting, outdoor work in all types of weather, seasonal weekend work, and strict safety standards.

You must enjoy working and interacting with older adults as well as understand the dynamics of aging and loneliness or be willing to learn.
